Was playing sudoku the ad for totalav came up. Thought about for a couple minutes and decided to get it. For $3 how can you go wrong. Installed it from that page. The next day they took $40 out of my bank account. And that's for the basic app. No where on that page did it say monthly fee. I am pissed right off. I'm deleting it and getting my money back. Would think about it very carefully and look into good before you buy. As far as I'm concerned that's false advertising and borderline theft.

I don't usually give bad reviews but this one deserves it. Not for the actual app but for the developer being extremely deceiving about how much this costs. Initially you pay something around $3 for it only to find out it's a subscription based offer when you get a charge on your credit card next month. However nowhere does it say so before you purchase it that you'll have recurring char! That's not ok. Needless to say I called and got the "plan" cancelled and the charge reversed.

Where to start. First it is not a free app. You have to pay for real time protection. Google over runs the browser, hard to tell if it does anything. Save yourself some time, look else where. They did send two emails before i got it running, both pushing the upgrade. Which i did do for the month. They can keep the $2.99 . one day and uninstalled.
