If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on the phone. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet. You can switch back to Google Assistant in settings.

Ratings and reviews

Google Gemini is a good app to use, but I hate that you can not put things into files; you have to pin them or search for them. I have research on the same topic, and I have to scroll through the pinned list or search for it, which can take time. If you could put everything for that topic in one place, it would be better aa it's all in one place. Could you please think about putting something on there so we can keep all the same topics or projects together.

I tried Gemini to set up a specific scenario on an industrial router. It kept changing it's advice and going round and round in circles with dozens of screenshots. Then it says if used all my credits and reverted to Gemini flash-light which offered no useful guidance whatsoever (correct or otherwise). I'm disappointed I paid for this subscription.

I love Gemini, it's great for general chatting and questions, the one issue that I have with it though is image generation. I'll ask it to generate a new image based of 2 other images, and it will keep repeating 'I cannot edit or modify images' even though I wasn't asking it to edit the image. Other than that, it's great!
