Hold for Me lets you go back to your day. If a business puts you on hold, Google Assistant can wait on the line for you and let you know when someone is ready to talk.

Screen unknown callers ^{1, 2}
Call Screen answers unknown callers, filters out detected spammers without interrupting you, and helps you learn more about callers you don’t recognize before you pick up.

Visual voicemail ^{1, 3}
Check your messages without needing to call your voicemail – view and play them in any order, read transcriptions, and delete or save them right from the app.

Ratings and reviews

I don't like the recording announcement sound that plays before a call is recorded. Because of this announcement, the other person immediately knows that the call is being recorded. I would prefer an option to disable or customize this announcement and have more control over call recording. This would make the call recording feature much more useful and convenient.

unresponsive app. whenever I open it, it doesn't show my call logs, or my contacts, when I try to press the call button, it doesn't call, when there is an incoming call, the call never shows up on my screen, my phone just vibrates. I've cleared cache, installed and uninstalled the app, I've restarted the phone several times over the past 1 year but nothing has changed. worst calling app ever!!

We lost the older call history because, in this update, every call attempt is being shown individually. For example, if we call someone 10 times in a day, all 10 calls are displayed separately. Similarly, missed calls and received calls from the same contact are also shown individually. Because of this, the call history is filling up quickly, and we can only see the very latest call history. The older call history is no longer available. Please correct this issue

What’s new

With our latest update to Call Screen on Pixel devices in the US, the Google Assistant now helps you automatically screen unknown callers and filter out detected robocalls before your phone ever rings. And when it’s not a robocall, your phone rings a few moments later with helpful context about who is calling and why.
