From internal backup to app based. It definitely sereves more devices with Google account. My only problem with the app was that it can't backup while being in use even after a few hours. Eventually it did made the backup & I was unaware of it. As for the restoration, I have no idea. But I believe it can be done upon device factory reset. I don't know if there are other methods but it would be better if there are existing. Overall, easy to use but struggles with the backup process.

I've had this about a year. The description reads: "Automatically back up the important things on your phone, like photos, contacts and messages... notice it says "like." Now I personally regard my calendar as an important thing. I accidentally deleted my calendar on another device. had a rude awakening that the backup DID NOT include calendar nor does it have the capacity to include the calendar. in fact you need a non Google app in order to be able to import and export a calendar back up.

Very poor customer service. I changed to monthly payment in the app, but it then charged me for an annual subscription, and when I asked for a refund I was refused. In the email it tells you to turn on verification for all purchases to prevent this from happening. I checked my settings and this was already turned on, yet still this happened. Unacceptable that a refund is not granted in this situation. When this subscription expires I will be taking my custom elsewhere!
