Used with Chrome cast, one of the weaker streamers, sometimes only stays connected for a couple of minutes as the programme plays, but on the phone it shows as 55 minutes remaining, and trying to get it to connect so that it recognises that it has played is very hit and miss. Also constantly going to series 1 of something when you're watching a later series, or jumps several eps to show you a 'continue watching' from later in the series. All happens far less on other connected stream services.

Making itself redundant. BBC are showing fewer and fewer shows for shorter amounts of time. I only got iPlayer to watch QI and WILTY and there are no more than 3 episodes of each at any time, so what's the point? Unless they designate as show as "binge worthy" you're out of luck. Since you can't buy series you have to depend on the poor taste of some BBC employee as to what you can watch and there's no way to catch up on anything you miss, the app is really just taking up space on devices.

Since the update the app crashes constantly. When I'm watching a programme it freezes every ten minutes or so then a message saying "something has gone wrong." I have to keep restarting my phone and the programme doesn't go back to where I was. Also when I first access the app I get "no network" or "not available." This is extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed. I don't have problems with other streaming apps.
