The dēzl app on your smartphone pairs with a compatible Garmin truck navigator or dēzl™ Edition smartwatch to access features designed to enhance your over-the-road lifestyle.

Connected Features:
• See live weather, traffic, fuel prices and more on a compatible Garmin navigator.
• Receive text messages, phone calls, and alerts on your paired Garmin device.
• Receive PrePass® notifications of upcoming U.S. weigh stations and bypass decisions with your active PrePass account.
• Access workout tutorials that fit within standard break times when paired with your compatible dēzl Edition smartwatch.
• Check and use travel plaza reward points from your wrist, when paired with your compatible dēzl Edition smartwatch.

I had trouble getting all the options to work and stay connected, but I'm not that savvy when it comes to electronics and I was able to get it goin and it's worked seamless since. I'm just a old truck driver and I use it every day all day to keep me informed about the traffic, weather and I even have it telling me who's emailed or texted me without looking at my phone. That option is worth alot to me.

Miserable functionality of the app and device. No route previews. No remembered searches. No modifying saves in app. Displays other locations traveled by other trucks, not your own saves on screen. Backwards UI: Covering essential info to visualize a BT volume bar, whether connected to the device or not. Beyond substandard HW for price that impedes visual clarity of the service itself. This service and device exists only by virtue of anti monopoly laws, and it's laziness is apparent.

Being able to see weather and traffic on a Garmin device is a nice feature. Having your phone's Bluetooth default to the Garmin speaker is a terrible idea. Name one truck driver who thinks that making and receiving phone audio through a tiny speaker on a GPS unit over the loud roar of a diesel engine is a brilliant idea. You will not find one. Once you turn off the phone call setting in the app it automatically disconnects the entire phone from the GPS. This unit is just fine without this app.
