Ratings and reviews

Mondley works well, but my main reason for using it was the hands free option. Unfortunately hands free does not work well. The lessons seem to mix up which word it's requesting and answering Voice to text is very hit or miss If voice to text is a miss, you can't retry until the vtt times out, creating a frustrating feedback loop. Edit: I've purchased Mondley premium and I'm still getting ads to try and upsell me to buy it for my family, so I'm standing by the two stars currently.

Cancelled my subscription. Where Duolingo at least tries to maintain its content, with the opportunity for users to question each phrase, or raise issues, Mondly does not appear to do so at all. And there are quite a few misleading errors, and quite a few word / phrase combinations that are either misleading or simply don't seem to relate (a word is defined, then a moment later it is replaced by another unexplained word in a phrase). Now Mondly is hounding me to renew my subscription. No. You need to provide customer service if you want my money.

Pro's: The app has a good concept where you can talk into the microphone and practice the right sounds/ tones. It has a chat bot to also practice with. 10/10 for that idea Cons: it does most of the talking. So you learn words fast but its pointless if you cannot say/pronounce the words. The microphone record button (press n hold) often stops during the recording which gets frustrating. If they fix the Cons, its definitely a 5 star app FYI its northern dialect.
