Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone. The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or mobile connection.

App no longer appears in my app drawer or on my home screen, and when I search my device it doesn't appear. However, when I search the play store it says it's installed and gives me the option to open the app. I'll be really upset if something happens and I have to go through some pita process to recover a bunch of accounts that use two-factor with Google authenticator.

Great Authenticator. Don't know why it gets a lot of bad reviews. Had it for a year already. No issues. The codes auto sync across all platforms. I can open the app on my Android and iPad. All the codes are there. If I lose my phone, I can just open the app on my iPad and works just fine. Works as advertised.

It works fine until you need to transfer codes. Had to factory reset my phone. Transfered the codes to my tablet, verified they went over. Reset my phone, opened the app on my tablet and watched them flash they were there and then gone, they just all disappeared. Now I have to spend a day recovering all of my accounts because your app just decided to remove them.
