How it works:
1. We lower your credit utilization with a $750 or a $2,500 tradeline.

2. You make a purchase with that tradeline (limited to Kikoff), and you just pay back what you spend (our lowest + most popular payment amount is $5/month). We report those payments to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion every month while your utilization rate stays low.

3. You have the option to put your credit building on autopilot by turning on AutoPay – that’s right, no heavy lifting required from you after account setup.

4. We flag errors on your report. Also, users with Premium Credit Service account can sign up to Rent Reporting to have their rent payments reported.

Ratings and reviews

It couldn't verify who I am, said I'm out of attempts to try again(even though it was my first try) and when I click the button that's supposed to explain why I couldn't be verified, it went to a page and gave a 404 error.. so not professional! It asks for your social security number, which I would not recommend giving if they can't do the most basic tasks.. trust me, they don't have the security practices to keep your information safe! And there's no way to have your information removed!

I signed up for the highest level membership. I've been using Kickoff for about 4 months now. Kickoff claims my credit score increased, but when I checked with the 3 credit companies, my credit hasn't actually changed. You're better off just putting money into a savings account or secured credit card. The only positive thing I can say is Kickoff helped inspire me to understand credit more. The USA credit system is really a stupid idea.

Upon signing up for this, I found out you don't actually receive a line of credit at all. They're having you sign up for a debt you never accumulated and paying it off to kikoff. They don't help you pay any of your credit debt off at all. You are paying these people free money, to put it bluntly, to build your credit. I could be giving said money to places already on my credit that I actually owe to increase my credit score. This app is a bandaid for a real issue.
