Secure backup is a core functionality within Pocket Geek Mobile which allows you to back up SMS and MMS messages and call logs on your phone. To properly handle messages received while the app is the default messaging app, read and receive SMS and MMS permissions are mandatory. Existing backups are required to restore text messages and call logs.


This app requires access to the following permissions:
● Read and receive SMS and MMS permissions to backup and restore text messages.
● Read and write call log permissions to backup and restore call logs.
● Permissions to read, modify, or delete the contents of your USB storage to backup and restore photos, media, and files.
● Location permission to access your Wi-Fi network details to detect insecure Wi-Fi settings.
● Accessibility permission (AccessibilityService API) in the Web Shield feature that protects you from threats on the web by alerting you when you visit a malicious web site. Personal or sensitive data is not collected or stored.
● Device Administrator permission for device lock functionality (only if needed for stolen device, and only with real-time customer consent).

This came installed with my phone. So far I'm impressed with it. I will update this after some more time as passed. I've come to depend on Pocket Geek to keep my phone up to date and it hasn't disappointed me. It checks everything. I love the diagnostics including the speed check for the wi-fi. An all around excellent app. I will use this on any new phone I get.

The documents never show up and help only responds the first time and then never again. The app is just filler garbage to collect your info. Delete, uninstall sign out. GARBAGE!!!!, DELETE!!!, UNINSTALL!! USELESS!!! SPACE AND INFO STEALER!!!!! GOODBYE Trash!!! Watch out these reviews are lies!!! Especially in NYS. Update. STILL NO DOCUMENTS!!!!! Company responded!!!!! STILL NO DOCUMENTS!!!! JUST DELETED!!! IT IS JUNK DELETE IMMEDIATELY!! JUST COLLECTING YOUR INFO!!!

Bloatware that keeps getting automatically installed on my new Motorola g stylus without my permission and can't be disabled.
