At 1st, I thought: Just great. Does everything I need and does it well. Then I found: the app does not update gate changes in a timely fashion, nor does it ever send you a notification of a gate change. Even refreshing the sop ir exiting it and restarting it did not help. With United's app and services, I got: email, text msg, app update, and notification.

Trying to load the baggage info page brought up an in-app browser that was very janky, told me to upgrade my browser (even though I was still inside the app) and took a really long time to load with several refreshes, then tried to keep me inside that browser when I was done (as if I was using the mobile website, not the app). Otherwise the app seems to work fine.

Awful experience! On international flight, showed that we'd never checked in, wouldn't allow us to check in. We couldn't advance past passport verification and government documents submission after complete. We ended up having to check in at the airport and even after doing so, the app didn't acknowledge check in or seat assignments. We had no idea if we had truly checked in or had seats until we got to the gate and spoke to the gate agent.
