Provider finder tool is rubbish -- crashes frequently, returning "no providers found in your area" when repeating a search that has previously given a list of providers. Often providers are no longer practicing at that location & haven't been for a very long time. Others simply aren't accepting BCBSIL & the list hasn't been updated to reflect only current providers. Maybe ⅓ of providers are actually in network and at the location listed. Makes it very difficult to actually USE my benefits.

I started having issues with the app and website in November. I called customer service and they ran me through the gamut. Reset my account, cleared every cache on every browser, tried to get in from several different devices (app and website). The initial page would load but the claims area and search for provider area would give a "cannot load, try again later" message. Finally they set me up with a new account and password. It worked for 5 minutes and now same error. It is February.

Mdlive used to work in the app. But now it doesn't let me upload photos even with permissions. The whole app is not very user friendly. It's not particularly smooth and never use a back button when searching for providers. The user experience is somewhat a struggle. App design can be better. Functionality can be at times challenging. Cost estimator is very limited. List of providers can be better with MAP integration.
