About this app

**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the latest Audio Station 6.0.0 package to get the complete set of features**

DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with your Android device wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

App freezes way too often. This is just about the ONLY APP that does that on Google Pixel 6 and 7. Otherwise the app gets the job barely done, that's about it. Need to be able to download an album from search results and not just album list. Often fails to download the entire album for a mysterious reason. Deleting a downloaded album is a pain, track by track. Also, would like to browse by directory like in DS File. Payback crashes at times, even from downloads. VLC is better.

It takes a long time to log in and connect to NAS. This app needs to be rewritten. Very low quality software. Whole Synology software is a mess and needs to be cleaned up. A couple of tech support guys that I talked to admit to it. Hope the new version is more condensed and user-friendly. Stay away.

The simplicity of this app is great. Works great on mobile connections when you're on the go. If you have a Synology and large digital music collection it's a convenient and fast way to access it from home or while mobile. Two nagging issues, though: 1) It takes an absurdly long time to log in, whether on LAN or mobile. 2) Many times tracks will skip on a regular basis - haven't timed it but 20-30 seconds perhaps. Hard to listen to music with that going on. Kind of a big issue!
