It used to work great, but a late update in the past month made it unusable. It freezes all the time and is barely responsive. Nothing changed on the NAS and desktop, and web access works. The app is still using hardware decoding, but somehow it's lacking resources or something. I purchased 8 licenses to use this nas lot of money and a year later the app cant be used.

Ace Savant
Experience ranges from atrocious to unusable. Synology recently pushed an update that forces H265 rendering to the client side, and now my video streams - all of them, stutter and fail to zoom and run with sub-1FPS. no option to return the rendering to the station and no way to resolve the problem. I NEED to be able to smoothly view and be able to zoom into my streams for security purposes. I will be looking into another platform.

The app works ok. I can see my camera and access recordings. Event notifications arrive quickly. Some of the notifications have full width previews which are great, but not all of them. This might have something to do with the second issue I have. The app constantly has to log in, every time I open the app, it takes a few seconds to log in. My credentials are remembered and the log in is automatic,but I'm thinking that I only get image previews when logged in. Small but annoying issues.
