Uses background data This app used over 8GB of my data plan this morning while it kept running in the background. There is absolutely no reason the stream should keep going when you exit the activity.
Broken Will not allow me to view recordings. I get the good ol "Unfortunately DS cam has stopped" whenever i try to access the recordings. Please make it work synology
When are they going to fix this app? This app hasn't worked for ages. Tried it on an S4 and S6. Not sure what they did to break it. When it used to work, the h264 option would just show a black screen, so I had to use mjpeg. It would be nice if Synology would actually put some effort into the development of this app. On their own forums many people are complaining about DS Cam, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.
Great monitoring tool I see complaints that this gobbles up your data volume. That is remedied by simply logging out when finished viewing. Easy to set up and does what it should.
Sucks Crashes all the time on S4. I can't watch live stream nor records. It even completely crashed my telephone few times forcing to reboot. I am pretty disappointed
Crashes... A lot Crashes after one video playback. Not exactly the most stable app. Promising featureset if it actually worked
