How do I get started?
- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.

The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

This app shows a wrong balance for my FD accounts. I nearly got a heart attack because it shows that some money is missing. Some of my accounts are not listed. I contacted the bank and they confirmed that all my money are still there. Told to delete and reinstall the MAE app. Same problem. My total deposit balance is still short. Something wrong with this app. Please fix it quickly.

Just about to setup the account. However, it failed me a few times already. Up until now, I cannot use it. Uninstalled and installed, hoping the problem resolved. When it comes to "Pick a primary accout for your wallet" part, as i clicked continue, the loading never ends. I am rushing to use it since I need to check my asnb acc. But this issue is very very upsetting. Hopefully i can hear something from the developer about this issue. Thank you.

Overall great and easy to use. But don't know why this app requires access/permission to use my contacts, phone and location. And because I have denied permission to these, I keep getting "Denying permission request will cause the application to behave unexpectedly." every time I open the app. I'd like to know why MAE needs access to my contacts, phone and location.

Please note that media permission such as camera, location & phone contacts is required in order for customer to use available features in MAE app such as "scan and pay", "mobile reload to-pup", "sama-sama local" and more.
