Increased to 4 stars since Pending Transactions are now shown inside the app, which is great!! Would give 5 stars but there are some problems. The help pages don't work on the app. Need to go to the website to view Help. When viewing the Help pages it suggests sending messages to customer support but the app only allows calling and not messages/E-mail. The app should have all the functionality that the website has, if it's possible to send messages on the website then it should be possible on the app too. Who wants to pay a fortune to make calls from their mobile when there's another (and easier) option.
I like the card. I like the app. I don't, however, like the junk mail that comes with it. Namely, balance transfer offers that don't appear to exist . "its easy to transfer", say the letters, using the app. I log in, only to find "there are no offers available". At least once a week I receive a letter, (A4 sized) advertising a service I'm apparently not eligible for. Yet constantly I'm nudged to go for paperless statements "to help the environment". Your hypocrisy is distasteful.
Please fix the instant crash on loading! Haven't been able to open the app EVER! Will edit review once it starts working Edit: App has been fixed and seems to work great. Intuitive design and easy to use!
Been unable to use this app on a rooted device before, which is ridiculous. However, I can use it fine on a non rooted one so for now I'll stick with that. Much smoother than the web. Hopefully Barclays will wake up soon and realise that people who root phones tend to be more security conscious.
Great up. Some errors make it 4/5 but overall its good. Error example: order replacement card for damage cards does not work. Always says connexion error even though the rest of the app connects just fine. Reccommend it if you want the basic features of the app as they work just fine
The card and account management is fine, but the contactless payment needs a lot of work. Really don't like that you can make a payment with the device locked. You can set it up so you need your card PIN on all payments, but it's massively inconvenient and would be far quicker to just use your card. Seems like a choice between non existent security, or fiddly over the top security. Why not just implement fingerprint/PIN authentication that doesn't need 2 taps on the terminal? Or, better yet, require the phone to be unlocked to use the contactless payment? Really frustrating, locked into a proprietary solution when Android Pay and Samsung Pay offer far, far superior options. Has me looking to move my accounts to a more flexible provider.
We’re making continuous improvements to your app, you can now add additional cardholders to your account and view your PIN.
