The Blue Shield of California app provides BSC and BSC Promise members enhanced 24/7 service and ease-of-access to the information that matters most.

As a member of Blue Shield of California, or Blue Shield Promise, with our app you can:

• View your personalized dashboard
• Search for doctors and facilities, by doctor specialty, by location, and/or by name
• Display and share your Blue Shield of California ID card
• Track the current status of your plan usage, including deductibles and copayments
• Review your claims, and track the progress of new claims from outset to finalization
• Submit out-of-network claims
• Pay your monthly premiums
• Review your health care team, including your doctors’ credentials, locations and contact information
• See your health insurance plan information, including important documents like your plan summary and Evidence of Coverage (EOC)
• Review family members on your plan and see their personal information
• View your benefits, including information on custom benefits, general exclusions and benefit maximums

The app is broken. Nobody even quality tested this. To change one's password one must first enter their date of birth, but there's no way to set the year without going back one month at a time, which is very tedious since I'm in my seventies. That's 12 clicks per year for 70 years, which is more than 840 clicks. This app is dumber than a stump. It's nothing more than an invitation for a repetitive stress injury.

Am fully covered with health, dental and vision and was told I'm not insured for vision when using the app to verify and was told to contact my HR department to update. This app doesn't allow you to view plans or see what network your covered in. Would rate higher but not useful to any extent. Please fix these bugs and update asap!! I've called in for my vision and have VSP but on here through the call center I'm not covered when I am...

Update 12/8/2023: I still can't access Teledoc or getcare link. Another update: now I can't access Teledoc at all. Keep getting an error. After the update, this app became horrible. Every time i click on the link, i have to get code on the cell. What a waste of time. Teledoc link doesn't work at all. I can't check msgs. When i click it, it asks me for code. I had to provide 3 times. Then poof link disappeared. I am sick of this garbage.
