You do not get support for waypoints with an inreach SE. This is not obvious at all when I went to purchase the device. The included maps are pretty low res for western Canada. Backcountry navigator (the free version even) does a better job
Wouldn't know It ask for email and password to login no place to even create account.
Does What I imagined all along I use my InReach daily (20+ messages daily) the Apple version was so buggy that it almost isn't worth using, this is light years better the maps work the unit and my phone don't randomly disconnect like the Apple one did non stop. My major issue now is that on the messages it shows oldest first when opened (latest are what you need right) not a very big concern really. Don't bother with the Apple version only this ones is worth using.
Missing important feature By in large, I'm happy with the app. I wish it had the ability to view the predetermined messages via the app. I can never remember what I set them as. The ability to edit the predetermined messages and sync while connected to network would be even better!
Metrics contour lines, finally!!
I do a lot of activities solo, I like the availability to use my contacts in my cell phone and the large screen to view the maps on my cell. I post my travels on Facebook.
