About this app
Dotori LG TV Remote controls an LG webOS TV over your home network. Your phone and the TV only need to be on the same Wi-Fi — there is no Bluetooth pairing, no dongle, and no account.
The first time you connect, the TV shows an approval prompt. Accept it once and the app keeps the key the TV hands back, so later connections need no prompt. The app also records the TV's MAC address at that moment, which is what lets it wake the set later.

The app is meant to be used while you look at the TV, not at the phone. Controls never move, nothing hides behind a mode toggle, and the app does not redraw the channel list on your phone — it stays on the TV screen you are already watching.
Known limits:
- No text entry. Typing into a TV app's own search box is not possible on this generation of webOS, so v1 leaves text input out rather than shipping something that works in one app and silently fails in the next.
- No program guide button. The guide key did nothing on the set this app was measured against, and the TV gives the app no way to tell whether a given set supports it — the key is an overlay, so nothing the app can read back changes either way. A button that silently does nothing is worse than no button at all.
- Waking the TV needs the MAC address saved during pairing, and the TV's "Mobile TV On" setting must be enabled. A TV that is already off cannot be discovered on the network at all.
- Waking takes roughly 15 to 20 seconds, and the TV is invisible to the network for that whole stretch.
- Some commands cannot be verified. Home, for one, changes nothing the app can read back, so the app assumes it worked — without hiding a failure it can actually see.
- No dedicated app-launch keys. The Netflix-style hotkeys on the physical remote are not carried by the TV's remote-input channel.
