It is not user friendly. On my app, the charging is difficult to set below 100%. We are forced to go to the app to stop charging rather than being able to set the charge level. It is bad for these batteries to be charged to 100%! My husband got the app, but received a different version so we cannot compare what is happening. It's really annoying! He can set a charge level, but then if he doesn't stop the charging, the charger goes ahead to 100%!!! However, the app is good about messages.

Having used both FordPass for my Lightning and the Tesla app for my wife's Model 3, I can confidently say that, while the Lightning is a better vehicle, the FordPass app is just terrible! It's slow at best and often completely unresponsive. Unlike the Tesla app, there is no way to control the climate settings and heated seats from the app and one cannot see the live status of locks, windows, doors, frunk, trunk/tailgate, etc.

4/16/24 updated review. I honestly wish that Ford would invest in updating this app by listening to customer feedback. I recently scheduled service and expected the appointment to be displayed in the app...it is not. I will check to see if the appointment feature is available on the car screen. I have a Mach-E and it far too frequently takes multiple attempts to stop charging, it doesn't matter if it's my home charger or a charging station at work. Often takes too long to connect.
