400 dollars for a GPS and the app won't talk to the GPS saying it's not connected via Bluetooth but yet the GPS will make phone calls off my phone. real nice guys. this will be getting returned in the morning. There is no buttons. that makes it difficult to turn up volume and brightness. the GPS unit works as ot should. it's definitely nicer than the Rand Mcnally units. however the lack of buttons and non working app makes it difficult to use.

30 total seconds of recording time is ridiculous. Having to remember "Ok Garmin, Save Video" under stressful situations (like a wrong way driver barreling down at you) is ridiculous, a "button" on the GPS to capture ONLY a photo and not initiate video (while you're moving, under stress) is ridiculous and stupid. The app is CONSTANTLY wrong- suggesting non-truck routes, very narrow roads, etc... so much so that in order to keep out of trouble, I have to use 2 devices.

As an avid Garmin user (tracking dollars to OTR GPS) I was excited to see the arrival of this 1020 Unit. I would say the drawback was the price, and confusion why I don't see many in use. A year later, and useless product info...I purchased. This OTR unit is PHENOMENAL! Live radar, parking availability, review(s) of truckstops, on the fly route edit ability, detailed topography of destination so you know accessibility beforehand, big display giving Driver complete control and ease to customize.
