About this app

Garmin StreetCross is a navigation app specifically designed for motorcycles. This app will only work in combination with the compatible models below.

To see if your YAMAHA motorcycle is compatible with the app, please refer to the owner's manual or the product information page for your model.

The navigation operations can be done via motorcycle handlebar during the ride.

Ratings and reviews

It's a little rough around the corners, sure, but it works. There's a good selection of settings for how it routes you. The biggest issue is the directory of locations. It's not nearly as fleshed out as Google or other map applications, but that only applies to names of locations, addresses always work. It does not have the searching abilities of Google maps where you can easily peruse businesses and services in an area, but I don't use that often on my bike rides. Great addition tomy motorcycle

The phone screen must stay on for the app to work. if someone calls you, the screen will turn off and you'll lose directions. Addressing is not fully fleshed out. You'll need to search from another app to get the exact address or at times an address nearby to get directions close enough to work. Battery drain issues, after a longer ride, 3-4hrs phone may be depleted. Shame Yamaha used this as the GPS solution.

The app works, but the performance and behavior it's average at best. It's a bit slow, the routes sometimes are not the best, speed limits are sometimes wrong, it stays open until manually closed (could stop automatically after some time disconnected to the bike), doesn't backup on the cloud the favorites, you can't disable the navigation voice, and very frequently it somehow loses connection via Bluetooth (or similar) because stops showing you the map in the bike and only indications are shown.
