The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.

With the official app, you get:

I hate this update! Every picture I take has to be re-downloaded, then it says "open with photos" at which point you can then edit but after editing, it ends up in the Gallery not in Google photos. Sometimes it says that it can't upload the pictures at all. It's three times the work, it only works half the time. I absolutely hate the update and I wish I could get my old Google photos back. To the developer.... I can't open the links you sent me. Please send them in a format I can open.

You took map search, the feature I use the most and screwed it up. I can search for the name of a location, it does not bring up the map like it used to so I can fine tune the location, but does bring up photos from the area. Problem is it's missing many photos from the nearby surrounding area from GPS being off due to being inside of the building, poor signal etc. the only way to find those photos is to navigate to places, find the map, then manually zoom in and out to find the location

I absolutely hate that idea that is super simple to put pictures and movies on this app but it's almost impossible to take him back off I have external storage devices and you'll need your storage out all the time and what I do need to is be able to share it with family and friends without having to pay a fee to reprint something that I already have. If some if something doesn't change soon I swear I will be looking for a different app Two options buy more storage or delete your photos. Export
