Useful app but a recent update introduced an unwanted "feature" that is going to require a lot of time to correct. After the update, all of my contacts are now set to route to voicemail. That explains why I am getting voicemail messages without hearing my phone ring! Why would that be the default? Worse yet, there does not seem to be a way to change this setting for all contacts. I have to manually open every contact and change the setting. This is preposterous and ignorant of user needs.

So, I backed up my contact from my old phone but now almost all of my contact is doubled because one is labeled as 'Restored from [old phone]' and the other is categorized as 'Created by Whatsapp.' It has the exact same name and numbers! No option to merge it, nor to hide the one from Whatsapp. I can't even select multiple contact so there's no way to share/delete several contact at the same time. This app sucks!

Five years after my previous review, the design has changed but the app still lacks very basic functions and the UI is highly unintuitive. "Others contacts" are not being shown, once the group is selected in the accounts filter, the rendered view is empty saying that contact list is empty, but the contact could be found using the search. Contacts could not be removed from "My Contacts" group(moving them into "Other contacts"). Also, it should be possible to sort the contacts by "File as" field.
