See warnings about suspicious callers that help you avoid unwanted calls from spammers, telemarketers and scammers. Block numbers to prevent them from calling you again.

Google’s extensive caller ID coverage lets you know the business that’s calling so that you can answer with confidence.

No more waiting on hold ^{1, 5}
Hold for Me lets you go back to your day. If a business puts you on hold, Google Assistant can wait on the line for you and let you know when someone is ready to talk.

Call Screen answers unknown callers, filters out detected spammers without interrupting you, and helps you learn more about callers you don’t recognize before you pick up.

Check your messages without needing to call your voicemail – view and play them in any order, read transcriptions, and delete or save them right from the app.

Ratings and reviews

Bluetooth no longer works with the latest application update. I cannot hear nor can I talk to the person on the other end with multiple Bluetooth devices. no other applications have issues I can listen to Spotify or take teams or discord calls on Bluetooth just fine so this must mean the issue is with the phone app. Please fix. Google misunderstands. The Google phone app doesn't work with Bluetooth now. It worked before the update. S23 Ultra. Doubt the phone is the issue.

The previous version for the Pixel 6 was much easier and it was visually pleasing. As I stated it was visually pleasing because the contacts were listed alphabetically, the headers were corresponding letters for all names starting with the same letter, and the fonts were bigger. Using the previous version was easier because the different sections were at the bottom of the phone screen. From left to right you had Favorites, Recent Calls, Contacts, and Voicemail. It was all at your fingertips.

At this point I'd pay Google a subscription fee to stop putting AI garbage on my phone. It doesn't work and I don't want to do research and development for them. I just want a product that functions as expected. This morning's update made the app unusable as a modern phone. instead of an address book it has a small list of people the app thinks you want to call. Instead of a phone, it's a dial pad, a list of recent "spam likely" calls, and a random grouping of people the app is thinking about.
