I was having trouble with this continually popping up with "SIM manager keeps stopping." Google support was unable to help in two hours. I resolved the issue by clicking uninstall, which actually just downgrades to the factory version, then in the three dot menu checking "no automatic updates," then rebooting. Now everything works. For some reason the update broke my phone and kept getting automatically installed until I did that process.

Just switched to Google Fi. Brand new Pixel 4a 5G. This app pops up roughly once a minute with a crash report. None of the options do anything. Force close doesn't delay the next pop up. Sending a crash report so far does nothing. I have tried to update the system and the app and nothing seems to help. I can't find a solution to this problem. Please fix this issue. Update: I uninstalled this app and my phone is working fine without issue. I turned off the autoupdate so it shouldn't come back.

Like others, I woke up several days ago to find this update on my Pixel 5. Now I have constant problems sending and receiving texts from/to iPhones. Multiple copies of the message get sent, of they send at all. Please fix this, Google. This is not my problem and using text is the thing I use most on my phone. Uninstalling the app, disabling auto updates, and using Wifi texting only is not solving the problem.
