In rental cars, being able to use Android Auto is key. It's a safety issue. In a rental car, most often, I do not have a great set-up to display my phone. So as I drive strange highways at high speeds, it's stressful not being able to see map and visual cues (e.g.which lanes are best). Android Auto addresses that. So huge thumbs up. I gave it 4 stars b/c it only worked with a USB cable (not Bluetooth). Before I figured the cable out, for 1st time in 10+ yrs, I thought about switching to iPhone.

Very unhappy with this app. It will connect for a few mins, then disconnects. It shows that it's still connected but the music, and navigation is no longer on my car screen. I have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting. It disconnects 2-5 mins after plugging my phone in. It's so frustrating. I have tried everything to try to fix it, but nothing works. I've even bought several new USB cords and nothing works.

I love Android Auto. My life seems to reside on my phone along with access to all the things I need. Being able to access all that from the car's infotainment screen makes getting where you want to go easier and more enjoyable. I would give 5 stars, but it occasionally disconnects. Have not been able to figure out why. And worse, it can be very difficult to reconnect while driving. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often.
