Ratings and reviews

Got rid of the dislike button i used as a quick reliability check when doing homework, and that makes my life 10473 times harder as a student looking for very specific instructions. Also, they keep adding in more and more ads, and they combine skipable and unskipable ads together in sequence, which makes it very annoying and a huge waste of everyones time. And when i pause the videos now, they pop up another ad. The only reason they can do this is because they have a monopoly. Boo.

Recent updates have made the app much harder to use. While Chrome-casting, there's no longer controls in the drop down and the app keeps randomly locking up, or failing to keep up with what's playing. Why keep updating the app if it's going to work worse? Update: They keep updating it, and it keeps getting worse. Now I can't even search for another video while watching one. You want me to buy your premium subscription, but you can't even get the basics working right.

Lately I'm having problems EVERY TIME I cast to my Chromecast dongle. It works initially, but if i want to choose a new video, it never connects. I have to disconnect the current casting session and then re-cast each time. Yes, my YT app and Chromecast are up to date. If anything, this problem started after a recent Chromecast update. I will update my review once this problem is addressed.
