After using Chrome Remote Desktop for years, I can say it's a pretty decent way to quickly remote access a computer. However with the recent changes of the app to move away from a dedicated app and into what looks like a sandboxed Chrome extension running on Android, the app feels much more clunky than it used to be. There are quite a few issues that make it less user friendly, including the new keyboard being sized for an ant. The old UI experience was much better.

the new web based version of this app is horrible. Worse performance, worse latency, worse everything. Plus you have to have Google Chrome installed (and enabled) to use this app, which is not an option for me, because choosing Chrome as default browser and then disabling it is the ONLY way to choose which browser to use every time you click a link instead of having a defined default browser for everything on an android phone.

Dude, what happened to this? It was so good in the previous version. Now it's a total mess. Functionality has changed a lot. On the first touch option, you can't zoom like you used to be able to, and a lot of the time the touch inputs don't even work. Just bring back the old version. This is a ghastly nightmare. The audio that comes through also sounds demonic. I don't really use it for audio thoigh. This is just secondary to the main issues that disrupt smooth operability.
