About this app

Slow the spread, Texas! We’re supporting safer shopping in our stores with the H-E-B Go app.

With the app, you can scan and bag your own items as you shop, make less contact with others, and save time at checkout in any lane.
Get started by launching the application at an eligible *H-E-B location, then log in with your HEB.com credentials or create a new account.

Once you have created an account, then:


1. Scan and bag as you shop

Use your mobile device to scan your items as you place them in your cart or bag. The app will track your items as you shop, and you can add or remove products before finalizing your purchase.


2. Head to checkout

When you’re done shopping, head to any checkout lane! At self-checkout, the kiosk screen will guide you through the checkout process. At a regular lane, a cashier will help check you out.


3. And Go!

Pay as you normally would, grab your receipt and go! Or if your store has an H-E-B Go kiosk, check out by scanning the kiosk’s code and paying with the app.

update as support crickets:[About 8/23/26 I noticed one can no longer screenshot a receipt or anything. Claims of "security" are misplaced. Please put back screenshoot capacity. Digital receipts are not stored forever so one has to have a way to keep receipts. Also impossible to show support a screen if one can't get a copy. ] Finally they upgraded this app! So many months of nothing. As it was broke b4 and now works again. Really need to do updates more often, especially when it's fully broke.

This app is good for when it's busy and you don't need a lot. You still need to go to a kiosk to finish payment (and bag if you did not bring some), but it does speed up the process a little. Once you have your debit/credit card set up you cannot edit or remove it, hopefully in a future update they will fix this. I would recommend this for small purchases; but if you're getting a full basket, it might be better to just get in line.

This app is a terrific timesaver! Scan stuff as I put it in the cart, then wheel up to the kiosk when I'm done. I don't even have to take it out of the cart. It's especially good when the store is busy and there are three or four people waiting in line at each register. I've never had to wait for a kiosk. Minor nitpick: I wish I could scan coupons in the app instead of at the kiosk. It also needs to be able to scan the e-coupons that the My HEB app uses.
