LeiterDex transforms the legally required inspection of ladders and stepladders according to the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), TRBS 2121-2, and DGUV Information 208-016 into a 60-second mobile workflow – for tradespeople, caretakers, building services, facility management providers, municipalities, construction yards, and industry.
Employers must have ladders and stepladders inspected regularly by a qualified person (usually annually) – plus a visual inspection before use. In the event of an accident or a claim under the German Social Accident Insurance (BG), only complete documentation for each piece of equipment counts. LeiterDex provides exactly that:
• Document inspection for each ladder – 12-point checklist according to DGUV Information 208-016 (stiles, rungs/steps, ladder feet, spreader bars, joints, connections, markings, soiling, etc.), GPS stamp, photographic evidence, inspection type (visual inspection / regular inspection by a qualified person). Entries are tamper-proof (cancellation only with justification).
• Defects indicated by a traffic light system – Green (monitor), Orange (safety-relevant: lock ladder, release only after professional repair), Red (irreparable: discard) including "Ladder locked" and an additional repair note with name, timestamp, and photo.
• Ladder inventory per location – type (extension, step, multi-purpose, footstool, etc.), material, manufacturer, year of manufacture, length, number of rungs, reference photo. Inspection deadlines for each ladder are always visible.
• PDF inspection report per location and period – including legal basis (DE/AT/CH), traffic light legend, defect list, and photo attachment. Ideal as proof of inspection for insurance companies, employers' liability insurance associations, and clients.
• Team – managed by the owner, employees document (invitation codes).
• Inspection reminder – local weekly notification.
