About this app

With the MiniMed™ Mobile app, you can view key insulin pump and CGM data right on your smartphone. This can help you better understand your glucose levels and review your history and easily see how your levels are trending.

Automatic data uploads to CareLink™ software make sharing your data with care partners easier than ever.

IMPORTANT: This app will only work with a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems, which was specifically designed to communicate wirelessly with compatible smart devices. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit medtronicdiabetes.com/device-compatibility. The MiniMed™ Mobile app will not work with other MiniMed™ or Paradigm™ insulin pumps. The MiniMed™ Mobile app is intended to provide a secondary display for a compatible MiniMed™ insulin pump system on a suitable consumer electronic device for passive monitoring and to sync data to CareLink™ system. The MiniMed™ Mobile app is not intended to replace the real-time display of continuous glucose monitoring or insulin pump data on the primary display device (i.e., the insulin pump). All therapy decisions should be based on the primary display device.

The MiniMed™ Mobile app is not intended to analyze or modify the continuous glucose monitoring data or insulin pump data that it receives. Nor is it intended to control any function of the connected continuous glucose monitoring system or insulin pump. The MiniMed™ Mobile app is not intended to receive information directly from the sensor or transmitter of a continuous glucose monitoring system.

This app store should not be used as your first point of contact to resolve technical or customer services issues. After switching over from a t:slim and the t:connect app, the minimed app is pretty much usesless compared to the t:connect, like the rest of the medtronic products. You can't deliver a bolus from your using the app. The app can't connect directly to the guardian 4 without the pump being present, unlike the dexcom g6 that can still be used without the pump (think physical activities where a person doesn't want to risk damaging their pump). Medtronic really needs to play catch up.

I'm really beginning to kick myself for switching to Medtronic. I was with Medtronic for 15 years and switched to Tandem. I didn't like the way it needed filled and the process was slow. I was able to upgrade and went with Medtronic. You can't bolus on the app, see past notifications, the sound can't be changed. It's all very inferior. So disappointed. This is supposed to make life easier and this is just a tease.

The App when it is working is great. It allows me to check what my bg is at any point. Allows quicker and broader views of daily measurements. One can access time left for the sensor, battery life, and % of time w/in desginated range, amongst other information easier than with the pump alone. The only drawback is the lack of urgency in providing an update to the app software for new versions of your phones OS. Take heed before you update your OS. The app will not function after you update.
