Using the Brink's card made it easier to crawl out of the financial hole I was in. Deposits are early. You know when it's on your card. The $10 leaway really comes in handy and you aren't paying overdraft fees. What's on your card is what you have. Extremely quick notifications when you use the card. You have to live within your means. When the money is gone that's it until the next deposit. No check fees, overdraft fees. I've had it for 4 years and I'd never go back to a regular bank!

App is garbage. Have had the card (no complaints) and app for about 6 weeks. App kept saying account is locked but card worked fine. Finally I called in and everyone I spoke to said account is fine on their end. After speaking to 3 people they finally said something is wrong with the app, give it a few hours. It's now 2 weeks later and 2 different apps installed and acct still shows locked. The app has added a space in its name, before it was BrinksMoney. Uninstalled and on alert.

Mobile check load doesn't work. It crashes and kicks the user out. Reaching out to customer service they just placate like the responses here, saying to uninstall/update the app. Doesn't help, it's still broken, and Brinks doesn't seem to care. My advice would be to close the account, stop direct deposit to them. It's been a dismal experience not being able to load checks, poor customer service, and fees on EVERY transaction. Do not open at account at all. I'll be closing mine.
