Onkyo remote This is crap. This app cannot find the receiver. This receiver works just fine using the internet from the hard remote. This is not worth your time. They just put this app out there so they can say they have an app, but they know they don't need to support it and it doesn't have to work because there's nothing you can do about it
App does most basic things, and works quite smooth on my TX-8130. However, there's at least one feature missing that makes it very annoying: you cannot switch between speakers A, B, and A+B from within the app. Which means that if you set up your speakers in two rooms, you still have to walk to the other room. What's the point in that?
Where's the Speaker A/B? Generally I do like the convenience of the app, but for the life of me I can't figure out why the speaker A/B selections are not available. It means I have to physically go to the unit and change it with the remote. Totally stupid. If it's in the app I haven't been able to find it.
No good Previous version worked pretty well, but since the last update it will not work at all, completely useless. Tried rebooting, reconnecting, running setup again, but nothing. Would give ZERO stars if I could.
Connection problems 1 out of 2 it cant find my receiver (fully updated tx-nr818). I can ping the ip, telnet to 60128 (network standby is on). But the app doesn't find it. When i manually turn the amp on, it does work. Please fix the app!!!
After last update the app crashes before it connects to receiver. Only ever worked like 75% of the time. Worthless. I have not been able to connect phone to receiver for several months. I am considering tossing Onkyo out for Panasonic, Sony or other mainstream brand that provides a useable app. Update - App started to work again when I updated the firmware on receiver.
- Adds support for 2016 models.
- Bug fixes
