The app is fine, helpful even, but Snapshot sucks. You're required to allow it constant access & it drains the battery. Turning it off doesn't help bc it'll turn itself back on even if the phone hasn't moved at all. The driving records are inaccurate, too. Some are logged, some are not. If you use hand-free through Bluetooth, it'll log it as if you're using the device. It has logged my trips as if I'm riding on a bus/bicycle & if you hit a pothole it activates hard braking. It's not worth the $.

App wouldn't open. needed to uninstall and reinstall. there are things you can't do from the mobile app, you need to do them on the website. get an email that i need to sign a document, the email link opens the browser, which automatically switches to the app, logging me out. then there's no option to sign documents in the app, from the app need to go to the website, and that somehow doesn't redirect. i think most people would get confused and not sign the document.

CONS: Power draining app that urges you not to use any type of battery saver. You have to check snapshot regularly after every car ride, even if you're not the driver, to make sure it logged your ride correctly (lest you get dinged for phone usage as a passenger). PROS: Simple, easy to navigate interface. Customer service is always friendly (I've only called, I haven't tried the chat yet). The app does help apply discounts for safe driving, and it's usually very accurate
