Last year worked pretty well when purchased smoker. Within last few months, absolutely sucks! Disconnects when using phone for something else or it just sits for a few minutes, and when you hit retry, that box just pops up and down when pressed. Have to hit cancel and hit "control grill" and restart (extremely frustrating when cooking for 12 hours or more!) Also get a black screen sometimes when you hit the cooking analytics tab and can't get rid of it without forcing closed!

App does work, though info displayed is very basic. More details would be nice. Constantly have to reconnect with your grill if you leave the app to look at something else. Wifi connection works good, so you can check on your cook while you're away from home. The "edit" button for your notes isn't working lately. Please fix this.

this is one of the more annoying device applications I've dealt with. First they need to explain or distinguish the usage and difference between MPC and MP (probes), because my grill kept shutting down when I thought I was simply setting an "alert" on MPC. Even after I stopped setting a target temp it would drop to 180 randomly. Second I can't return to the app and EVER have it just reconnect. I have to exit and pray it reconnects again. it's on dedicated 2.4g too.
