After every app update there are less functioning features in the app. At one point everything connected but the app had almost nothing useful in it. Now I occasionally get Bluetooth to work, the probes show on the main screen but not analytical and forget having a wifi connection. Don't bother with the app and just run it from the controller on the smoker. At least they haven't broke that functionality yet

Originally I gave it a 1 ⭐️ rating due to its inability to connect to the grill. After disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi it has been working great ever since. Cons - I don't like the"Price is Right" style wheel to select times and temps. Its too slow. Typing the time would be better. Instead scrolling.

What the app needs is the ability to run in the background and a widget. If I minimize the app, it throws a connection error when I try to reuse it. I have to kill the app and relaunch it. Each time I do a long, overnight smoke, it ends up failing to connect all together. The only method I know to get it to work again is to power off the smoker and unplug it for a time. Of course this won't work while you're smoking, you have to just wait it out. The temp is NEVER correct.
