It's convenient when it works. Having to log in every other time I open the app to check on temps is not convenient. This should be able to just connect directly with the Bluetooth on my grill instead of having to go through Pit Boss's servers. Update, a few months later; on my latest cook it's requiring me to log in again every time I open the app. And suddenly it's not recognizing my log in credentials.

App does work, though info displayed is very basic. More details would be nice. Constantly have to reconnect with your grill if you leave the app to look at something else. Wifi connection works good, so you can check on your cook while you're away from home. The "edit" button for your notes isn't working lately. Please fix this.

Last year worked pretty well when purchased smoker. Within last few months, absolutely sucks! Disconnects when using phone for something else or it just sits for a few minutes, and when you hit retry, that box just pops up and down when pressed. Have to hit cancel and hit "control grill" and restart (extremely frustrating when cooking for 12 hours or more!) Also get a black screen sometimes when you hit the cooking analytics tab and can't get rid of it without forcing closed!
