When, it works, it does what it's supposed to do. The problem is that it doesn't work about half the time. For some reason it can't hold a sign in more than two hours, so you regularly have to log in multiple times through a cook. It also does not always do a great job of tracking your cooks all the way through. If you're choosing a Pit Boss smoker with smart features and one without, save your money.

The app does not work very well at all. It completely shut down on Thanksgiving and since then, I haven't been able to change the cook temp or the prob temp via the app. It's frustrating, because I bought this to cook on Thanksgiving and it seems like it has gone to hell. The probs are at least 10 degrees off. I double checked with two different thermometers to make sure. The hopper has to be constantly monitored, because the pellets get stuck and will not tumble down for nothing.

Unreliable!!! Works sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't. Sometimes it's a connection issue to the smoker itself, most of the time it's a pit boss network issue during the busy times of the year... Obviously they need more bandwidth to support customers. Will not purchase another grill from them for all the network issues!
