About this app

Sentara MyChart provides you access to your health information and helps you conveniently, and securely, manage care for yourself and your family members. With Sentara MyChart you can:

·Communicate with your care team.
·Review test results, medications, immunization history, and other health information.
·Schedule and manage appointments, including in-person visits and video visits.
·View your After Visit Summary® for past visits and hospital stays, along with any clinical notes your provider has recorded and shared with you.
·View and pay your medical bills.
·Receive push notifications when new information is available in MyChart. You can check whether push notifications are enabled under the Account Settings within the app.

To access Sentara MyChart, you must first create a Sentara account. To sign up for an account, visit Sentara.com or download the app and click on Sign Up. After you’ve signed up, turn on fingerprint authentication or set up a four-digit passcode to quickly log in without needing to use your Sentara username and password each time. Then, make sure you have push notifications enabled to receive updates on your device when new information is available in Sentara MyChart.

So you took away the option to save my username, so I have to use my full login. Plus you add a couple more key clicks in order to even get into the app. What's the point? Why do I need to click before logging in, then type username every time, and click again after logging in to get into the app? Isn't the fact that I launched the app enough proof that I wanted to use it? I guess you just wanted to annoy your customers. Horrible app in every way!

This app is so secure you can't even get in with your login credentials. I forgot my password and went to reset it, no biggie, click the link and try to reset it for it to tell me it couldn't perform that function at the moment. So I try again, and same thing. I try a third time and successfully updated my password. I'm thinking "great, now I can access my important medical information" I use the updated password, and it says it's incorrect. I kept trying, and received the same message.4 times!

This app doesn't allow you to just reach out to your pcp. I enjoyed the app used for EVMS opposed to this one. Before they merged the apps, I was able to reach my provider and receive responses and actions rather quickly. I put in a request and takes weeks to months for action. I don't recommend this app for EVMS patients. it's the worst. It's not simple and to the point. It's like using an automated system that requires you to select numbers for an extended amount of time. I hate this app.
