About this app

SurfaceIQ is a live camera scanner for walls, floors, ceilings, panels, appliances and cars. Point the camera and move the phone slowly: SurfaceIQ continuously analyzes color and texture and highlights possible surface variation - cracks, stains, dents, discoloration and wear - as you go. No photo to take, no shutter to press.

THE LIVE SCAN
- Continuous - highlights appear and clear as you move; Pause freezes the view
- Visual signal analysis - a rule-based comparison of color and texture across the frame, not a trained AI model
- Signal strength, not certainty - each score shows how strongly an area stands out, not the probability of a defect
- Real-world size - approximate millimeters for dents and bulges on ARCore depth-capable phones

- Stud & Wire Finder - the magnetometer picks up nails, screws, pipes and other metal (which often sit on studs) plus live AC-wiring hints; it does not see wood
- Pipe Finder - possible steel pipes and fittings; plastic and copper pipes won't show
- Tape Measure - measure a distance with the camera on ARCore-supported phones
- Level - bubble level with exact angle and fall per meter
- Compass - with a warning when nearby metal skews the needle

WHAT A PHONE CAN AND CANNOT DO
- Live visual scanning works on any recent phone with a camera.
- Real-world size needs an ARCore depth-capable device.
- Thermal, UV, odor and probe readings need sensors no phone has. SurfaceIQ does not confirm hidden moisture, mold or gas.

Results are a guide, not a diagnosis: a highlight shows where to look more closely, not what is there. Confirm anything important with a professional or a proper instrument.

All image analysis runs on-device.

What’s new

The subscription screen now shows clear messages, a Try again button if the offer can't load, and a link to manage your subscription. It also scrolls at large text sizes, so nothing is cut off. Plus smaller fixes.
