Perfect for those that are just beginning or those that haven't worked out for over a year. Updated Jan 19. 2026: life got busy, so the work outs stopped for a few years. The updates to Stronglifts 5x5 have been a pleasant and helpful surprise. All of my previous (2016 to 2020) workout information have been safely backed up and easy to reference. Looks like I'm back to square one, but with more experience, and a more robust app, at my disposal.

A once great free app deciding to follow everyone else in tech and create more shareholder value, so now it's a subscription model. There are better, free workout apps out there, don't waste your time with this one. It's personalized programs are most likely fed through AI anyway. Congrats on putting up an unnecessary barrier for people just trying to get in shape!

This app was a good UI for a rote program that I really enjoy (StrongLifts). Recently, I was greeted by a series of unskippable questions, all leading up to a "personalized workout plan," and then told I need to pay for the app because of that personalized workout plan. The explanation that an app added a feature and now it cannot maintain a free version anymore sounds made up. But I figured it was because it was hard to get users to pay. The devs seem to say that's not the case. So I dunno.
