About this app

**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the latest Audio Station 6.0.0 package to get the complete set of features**

DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with your Android device wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

Great idea with pretty poor execution. I love that I can store my music on my Synology and listen to it from anywhere. But using the app becomes a chore. The default settings were converting MP3 which takes a long time and took me a long time to figure out how to not do that. The app will also lock up when playing music. Got home from my walk and I couldn't stop the music. Pause didn't work, couldn't load the app back up to stop it. Had to force stop it. Could be amazing with more work.

What many are describing is accurate. Great app but it freezes after 4 songs.....until a forum member came up with this: "Settings-->Logout-->uncheck https, uncheck remember me-->Login again. Suddenly works again. Before I've done that I also disabled downloading music by setting option in Settings/Automatic/Storage/No songs. Hope this helps for you as well". You may even be able to skip unchecking and logging out and just, go to Settings>Downloaded Songs>Automatic>Storage>No Songs. Enjoy!

Auto downloads music into device and soaks up all my storage. I have no need or want to locally store all my servers mp3 files on my device. I know theres an option for this but it makes no difference. Randomly crashes when in background. Appearance could be better with other themes and colors. But for the most part it's functional.
