About this app

**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the latest Audio Station 6.0.0 package to get the complete set of features**

DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with your Android device wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

I've been using this app for years, but now it really needs an update to fix all the issues. On my Pixel 6 (Android 12), the app freeze after few songs, and does not work correctly over bluetooth (it pause for a second every 30s or so). It's even worse with Android auto, as after the freeze the whole system becomes unusable, you can't even restart the app or use another audio app. Synology, you need to do something here, it's been like this for MONTHS!

Nightmare to get it to work. Tried to get it to work with personal library for every user and it didn't work and couldn't see any music. Figured out need to cut all music and move to a different folder than the personal music folder then paste it back to the original folder and suddenly it could see the music. Now trying to create playlists but that's also not working getting an error about being unable to create a playlist but haven't managed to figure it out yet.

Not a very user friendly GUI. It's a music player, right? Where is the Shuffle function?... none. Why can't we play songs without having to download the files to internal memory folder? Since we're forced to download music, then why can't we assign a Sim card for music storage? And as others have commented, using this app outside of local network is very touchy experience.... virtually useless. It ain't no Amazon Music for personally owned music. Try again please.... would be great to have this.
