It's very basic and needs a lot of improvement. It can take a long time to load songs from my NAS. It has gapless playback but it doesn't work when the EQ is active? It doesn't have crossfading, fade-in/fade-out, silence removal or ReplyGain functionality. More sorting options for playlists and folder playback are needed. Ability to download and apply 2D and 3D skins. After a while it doesn't remember your last setting, song or playlist, so you have to reload everything. It keeps dropping my Bluetooth connection for some reason, so I've gone back to using Foobar2000.
Just downloaded this and it plays the first few seconds of a track, then fails with an error and moves on to the next one. Same for every track, even though the progress bar shows it has downloaded more than that. Tried it on 2 different albums. Very disappointed! I've just tried to report this to Synology support as suggested below, but the support site doesn't seem to be working! I've entered all the details and pressed "Send" but nothing happens! :-(
DNLA play to connected 'compatible' devices stops after 1 song if router is running WPA2 security. Same issue with the IOS app, making them pretty hopeless. Reading various forums, this issue has persisted for years. PLEASE FIX THIS as the app is otherwise great.
Very poor indeed. Despite many attempts to get Synology to fix it there are still a number of problems. The main difficulty is its inability to play a whole album. It loads the album, plays the first song, but the progress bar does not move and when the track finishes it stops. It can be restarted by using the player remote. It also works fine using the player itself. It's also generally buggy. I am very disappointed by Synology. Their support is appalling. After many hours trying to get this sorted by them it was my Android phone's fault. Nobody else has a problem. Looking at the feedback that is a blatant lie. I don't know who is responsible for Android software development but I think it is time he/she looked for other opportunities.
Synology, When do you fix this app?? Every update comes with new issues, now the sharing with the latest Chromecast does not work. After selecting the Chromecast player, playing queue stays empty with eventual crash of the app. Definitely not Synology standard...
