About this app

towd Driver is the app for independent tow and roadside operators. Download it, complete verification, then go online and accept nearby jobs when it suits you.

See the driver share on the offer before you accept. When the job is complete, payouts go to your bank through Stripe Connect. There is a transparent platform fee on the quote. Independent operators keep the majority of each fare after that fee.

Go online on your schedule. There is no minimum-hours requirement and no penalty for logging off. Jobs in range appear as timed offers. Accept what fits, or let it roll to the next truck. Job history, payout summaries, and withdrawals stay in the app.

What you’ll need:
• A valid driver’s license
• A tow truck or service vehicle
• Proof of commercial insurance
• A smartphone
• The tools for the services you offer

A CDL is only required if your work legally needs one. Government ID is checked through Stripe Identity, then our team reviews commercial insurance. You don’t go online until you’re approved. Timing depends on a complete packet — we do not promise a 24-hour turnaround.

Running more than one truck? We can set up a company account so you add drivers, set a default commission, and see jobs and payouts in one place. Each driver still uses the towd Driver app. Trucks in more than one state can sit on the same account. Jobs still go to operators who are online near the motorist.
