Signing in aged me 10 years. It wants a complex password but does't link to Google. If it's not complex enough, they don't tell you until the end of the process. When you've forgotten it, it doesn't offer a 'forgot password' button. Then you sign up for the premium service and they charge your card but the premium account app functions don't work - they want me to sign up again.

I am unsure about the sources of reviews for this app. It’s crucial for an app charging vehicles to clearly display payment details, including kWh used and idle fees. I encountered inaccurate information twice, being misled into believing my vehicle was still charging when it was fully charged. This led to unexpected charges: £33 total, including £12 in fees I couldn't monitor. My assumption of the app’s reliability has led to disappointment, and I strongly advise against using it.

Genuinely awful for long-range planning as the app only loads map data in small tiles and swiping around the map is slow. Additionally, the app relies on EVs being physically connected to a charger to show availability. Admittedly this is something out of Zapmaps immediate control but I do think physical sensors of cameras within charging bays could be mandated to overcome this. ICE or non-charging EVs blocking spaces is an issue.
