Ratings and reviews

One year and a half and no credit limit increase. "Gift Stock" is a major fraud. Supposedly a "Gift" but in fact conditioned to not only one first set of investments, but a second one as well later on, that is not clearly stated in the first place!! Use others as Revolut instead. Mucha better.

Plata is the best bank in Mexico, and by quite a wide margin. The app and the customer service are leagues above anything else in the country. Not surprising, as it comes from the makers of Tinkoff Bank, which was the best bank in Russia (and probably Europe) for many years running. Tinkoff's app from 10 years ago would put BBVA/Santander to shame. Plata is in a league of its own here.

Updating my rating from 2 to 4 because they taken care of everything but my name. The app requires 2 surnames, and I only have one last name. but it wouldn't let me go further without putting another last name in, so I put, "I don't have one'. and now my last name is "I don't have one". which I'd like to think common sense would prevail, but..no. Its given me a funny story to tell and everyone I show has a good laugh at the ridiculousness of it. I won't reverify so i'll keep my new name. 😁
