so far, I've been using tasks because the other apps isn't to my liking really. but, I genuinely like it because it's easy to use, simple, and it helps me be more organized with life and remind me on what I must do. Google calendar helps too but it doesn't have a sorted out list of the things that I must do to check off. if that makes sense! 😅🙂so I give it a 4 because the fact that I have to use both apps to sort out my day or days, ya know? but the tasks app is still helpful to me!

Widget no longer useful. Doesn't refresh when you add or check things off, until you actually open the app. The list title was pinned at the top, now it scrolls like the rest of the list. Lists don't show all items in the widget anymore, only a limited number. Tasks with subtasks used to indicate that there were subtasks, but no longer do. Previous version of the widget was excellent, this one is utterly useless. Going to try another app, until they get their ducks in a row, this is trash.

Google Tasks is fine for basic, one-off to-do lists, but its handling of recurring tasks is incredibly frustrating and outdated. If you have daily or weekly routines set up—like feeding schedules or regular maintenance—and you go on vacation, there is no way to simply 'pause' or skip a week's worth of notifications. The system treats recurring tasks as an all-or-nothing package. Your only choices are to let your phone blow up with irrelevant alerts while you are away, or completely delete all
