When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, you have to force stop the app, sign out of SR WiFi then sign back on, 20-30 times in a single shopping trip. Also, my SR removed all the barcodes from the self checkouts, forcing you to check out with the "pit boss" at the podium. This defeats the purpose of self scanning.

This app is so hit or miss. It stops working at random for no reason. On my last 3 phones it would work, and then the camera just doesn't open one day. No updates to the app in 6 months, no Android update lately, permissions are ok. Pixel 6a now. It worked for a month and all of a sudden it won't initiate the camera. Reinstalling has never worked in the past. Considering it's the 3rd phone this has happened to over the last 5 or 6 year it seems to be an app issue. Enjoy it while it works.

Terrible... Absolute trash. Even when it moderately worked, it was a catastrophe and unreliable. First of all, why must we use two different apps to grocery shop? One for our shopping list and one for scanning. Just integrate them to make it easier. But now, as others have reported, the scan button is non-functional. You can't scan barcodes because the button does not work. It truly is useless.
