The app is a lil ugly. Needs a redesign to make different actions (such as answering an email), more crisp looking/with smoother animations. At a minimum, we should be able to put pretty pics/patterns as a background. Another suggestion is to make it possible to delete all messages from a particular sender at once. Also, paying for Google Plus should get rid of ads in my email... There is always at least two ads when I want to look at my newsletters... Extremely annoying.

There are a lot of great features in Gmail, snooze is one of my favorites but the search is also amazing and the tagging system is great. But it is hard to believe that some things are still not present, such as basic formatting (like bullets) or search filters. The new in email reply box is great and so are the auto or quick replies but we still need some basic stuff.

Been using the Gmail app for years. But recently it's become very unreliable, the app is constantly freezing. When trying to open emails in my inbox the selected email is highlighted (as if being selected for filing or deleting) not opened and the app just freezes and becomes unresponsive. I'm using on a OnePlus 12, I can't even uninstall the app to try reinstalling it. Anyone else having similar issues? Update - I've tried everything mentioned in the reply, nothing has cured the problem.
