Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in.
This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.

The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection.

It was perfect until the 'click to reveal pin' feature was added. Please add a configuration to turn this off! How does this add any value to tokens that expire every 30 seconds? Somebody going to read the code, guess the website it should be used on AND guess your password in 30 seconds!? Now it's just another extra step, that in my opinion, isn't user friendly at all. Also, maybe a bit lame, but how do I 'click' on something on my phone? Maybe this shows how much thought went into this!

Despite NTP being enabled on my phone, google authenticator falls out of sync for time every few days it seems. It didn't do this until a few months ago, very annoying! Please fix! Or at least make a feature to automatically sync on a certain schedule. It would also be nice if I was able to make folders, like a work folder, a private folder, etc. Other than that it's a fine app, I just hope that Google will put some much needed development time in, rather than adding frivolous (though welcome) features like a dark mode.

It works... until it doesn't. If you don't have 2 factor authentication enabled on your Google account there are no real backup features other then copying your current list to another phone but you'll need to do that each time you add an entry to the list. There's also no access control in the form of fingerprint scan or password like all financial apps have. Many other apps support those features nowadays.
