On Xiaomi devices latest MiUi and Android 7.0 there are some options that are not available like creating shortcuts and changing your assistant's voice and so on. Not sure if this is only happening with my Phone.. And you should be able to teach your assistants new command without the help of a third party app like IFTTT.. Otherwise this App has changed my life.. Keep it up.. Hoping for more development..
I love this app. I don't know how I ever got along without it. If I want to do anything, I use the assistant. I have made it my goal to use the assistant for everything I can. I rarely type anything anymore I simply touch the microphone and speak clearly and the assistant does the work. The more I use it the better I get at asking the questions and the better the assistant gets at doing the job. I use the assistant for all my phone calls as well. Everyday I find new ways to challenge myself to find more things I can do with the assistant. I learn something new every single day I can't wait till next week to see what I'm really going to find out who knows.
Works great, as long as all the connected services play nicely. The latest update of Google assistant on my Nexus 5x running Oreo has made it impossible for IFTTT to connect for some reason. I used to be able to voice control whatever I wanted with my phone, now - not so much.
I don't know when but it seems you guys have taken away the play music option. When I say play music to assistant it triggers and plays some music in my list. But now. This was the most useful when I'm driving or working and my hands are full. Bring this option back. And make it open the default player. Not just your limited Google play app.
I like this, it's quite fun! I personally would prefer to just have the Google home as I used this more in home and it seems quite close to it but I still quite enjoy it! The games are fun and I love that you can send and receive texts through it. I wish you could customize the open command to be something you want rather than 'Ok Google' but I'm sure I can get used to it someday.
It's alright...I feel that there's a lot of room to grow here. I feel that it should be more personally intuitive by let's say, having a training conversation mode whereby I can teach it about all sorts of things that make sense to only me & my voice & have it play out those verbal requests into actionables. I also would very much like to refer to her/him as simply 'Computer' instead of 'OK Google'. I find that 'OK Google' is difficult to pronounce over & over again. Also, it seems as though Google Assistant & Google Voice Search icons/apps should be rolled into one?
