The assistant sometimes works fine but a lot of the times has issues understanding the most simple commands, asking for "how do I get to [blank]" only tells you the length , how far the place you look for is away but it doesn't tell you the information you asked for, it's not telling you which options you have to travel to the place. Sometimes setting up an alarm doesn't work and a lot of the times the assistant reacts to sounds that don't even come close to "ok Google". It's an unpractical tool

Honestly I never needed an app for Google assistant, it was embedded anyway. Always worked with voice recognition. For some time it has completely stopped, doesn't work with any sort of settings change or update. In the end I downloaded this app, just to check if things have changed with Android phone but still no luck. Google do something about it.

Utterly useless. Half of the time it doesn't even understand what I'm saying and if it does its responses are often not helpful or outright wrong. For years I tried to make it work and provided lots of feedback to Google but noticed no improvement. It has frustrated me countless times but never managed to impress. If that's the best Google has to offer in terms of AI, I doubt we'll have anything close to natural conversations with machines in the near future. For now, I've turned it off.
