Pixel Screenshots is the new home for all your screenshots. When you turn on the app's AI processing, it will save and process helpful details to become a searchable library to help you find anything in your screenshots.

Unnecessary, inconvenient app. I can't find if it's even possible to put my screenshots back into google Photos. Screenshots no longer show up in my gallery when I'm texting so I can't easily send screenshots to other people. The AI addition is also entirely unnecessary and is more annoying than anything else. Even when you turn it off, every time you try to do anything on the app it practically begs you to turn the AI features back on. Please let me save screenshots to Photos again, please.

Slow, inconvenient, unnecessary, unwanted. Limited views and limited functionality within the app. Takes hours, to literally days, for images to appear in my Google Photos, then requires a search in separate screenshots collection to access them. I wish there was an option to opt out. I want to view my screenshots with the other photos I took the same day and time. Google has decided I cannot. Did I mention SLOW? I'm typing this review while waiting for screenshots to load.

App has potential if finished; seems like it was designed to get users to label AI gen OCR data without resources to make it useful for the user. The AI gen frequently returns that it can't process the image. The search function *only* searches the generated text, not metadata or user notes, and the auto-collection assignment doesn't seem to learn -- once you correct it enough it just stops assigning things. I think it would become more accurate if auto-assign also took in screenshot metadata.
