While some of the actions won’t work right away, we are working to support more coming soon. You will be able to switch back to Google Assistant in app settings.

Gemini opt in is rolling out to select devices and countries - opt in to Gemini from your Google Assistant or by downloading the Gemini app.

Works better than Gemini for now, but can't perform basic commands at times. i.e. it can turn off Wifi, and Mobile Data, but cannot turn either of them on (as this command still relies on internet access) - kind of annoying, and doesn't make much sense as an 'assistant'. I also agree that it seems to no longer be 'as smart' and no longer able to perform the same commands it once used to, including a declining voice-recognition service.

Used to be great and a reliable part of everyday life. However, with every update it keeps getting slower, voice recognition keeps getting markedly worse, and it can no longer do things that it always used to. These days it's become really bad - so much that it's gone from one of my most used tools to one that I actively avoid using when I can. Really frustrating and disappointing.

Every time I open the app, it keeps saying 'Check your connection and try again', even though my wifi strength is excellent. Also, on an LGK42, things start lagging, glitch, and even become chaotic with this one app. Need to fix immediately as, 1 My WiFi is connected 2 I updated the app to the latest version and 3 It's just annoying. Please fix this issue. Thanks.
